Dwight C. Reynolds, M.D., FACEP - Course Director
Board Certified

Dr. Reynolds' training is in General Surgery from the Cleveland Clinic foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been in private practice and board certified in emergency medicine in Southeast Florida since 1985. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery and the International Meso-Lipotherapy Society.

Dr. Reynolds' expertise in Suture Suspension featuring the Reynolds-Serdev Technique is the result of his primary training in Sophia, Bulgaria facilitated by the father of the technique himself: Dr. Nikolay P. Serdev. Dr. Reynolds has been doing the “Serdev Suture Suspension Technique for more than 5 years. Dr. Reynolds has done thousands of procedures without complications. He received his certification by Dr. Nikolay P. Serdev, MD, PhD in Sophia Bulgaria.  In November of 2008, Dr. Serdev bestowed upon Dr. Reynolds the title "Master Instructor" in the Serdev Suture Suspension System the only physician in the United States to be given such honor. Dr. Reynolds later modified the technique in several key ways and developed the suture and equipment solutions necessary for FDA approval.

Over the past 10 years, he has trained more than 900 physicians and has given workshops in 8 different countries. Lifetime to date, he has performed over 70,000 cosmetic procedures including over 2,500 Suture Suspension lifts.



Joseph K. Bivens M.D., Clinical Instructor
Board Certified, Plastic Surgery

Dr. Bivens has been in aesthetic plastic surgery since 1988 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons. He trained in General Surgery at New York Medical College Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, New York. Plastic Surgery training was done at UC San Diego where he specialized in Cosmetic Surgery, Breast Surgery and Body Contouring. Dr. Bivens training makes him a unique and critical member to our staff. Dr. Bivens received his Suture Suspension training and certification from Dr. Reynolds.

About Dr. Serdev - Dr Serdev is the national consultant of the Ministry of Health in Bulgaria, certified specialist in “Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgery” by the International and European Boards of Cosmetic Surgery and by the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria. He is Professor at the International College of Cosmetic Surgery, Honorary Professor at the New Bulgarian University, International examiner and Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Board of Cosmetic Surgery, Program director of the International University Program for specialization in “Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgery”.

The Medical Centre “Aesthetic surgery, Aesthetic medicine”, headed by Prof. Serdev is the only medical institution in Bulgaria accredited by the Ministry of Health in Bulgaria and the International College of Cosmetic Surgery to provide postgraduate specialization and qualification of medical doctors in the specialty of “Cosmetic Surgery”. The centre is certified EN ISO 9001:200) for quality.

The “Serdev Suture Methods” - Prof. Serdev’s author’s methods - in conjunction with the semi-elastic Bulgarian threads and the developed needle instruments for mini-invasive liftings without scars for all areas of the face, as well as for breasts, buttocks, abdominal flaccidity, inner thigh, etc. are changing the Cosmetic Surgery nowadays. Due to immediate result, stable fixation and anchoring, lack of trauma, and short recovery time, those methods are well known as “launch time” or “weekend procedures”. There are no visible scars that allowed Prof. Pier Fournier at the International congress of cosmetic surgery in Spain 2003 to announce that “At present needles are superior to scalpel in cosmetic surgery”.
